I'm back again to drop by my monthly newsletter!
Hope everyone is doing fine... Congrat for your new uni life (Jenny).
Nothing much happened during the 1st two weeks, cause I had an exam on the 3rd week. Stressed but the exam, I hate the practical exam here. It's like a musical chair, you have 30 qns and about 1 1/2 min per question. They put us in 30 stations, and 1 1/2 min in each station. When the times up, you got to move to the next station, so if you do not know your stuffs... YOU'RE SCREWED BIG TIME!!!

Got really dirty at the end of the practical. It was rainy before we reached therefore is was muddy in the paddock... Eeeee...... But was really fun!

My first Mid-Autumn festival in Aussie!!! We set up the place in the morning till evening. Unfortunately, it started raining in the evening!!! So we had to clear the area and move everything indoor and with the help of "almost" all the chinese in IH, we managed to set up the things in time! Phew....

19/09/2008 - Virgo babies' Birthday cum House Warming
After the visit to the abbatoir. We went to one of my classmate's house to celebrate 3 Virgo babies' birthday and the house warming. Started the party around 1 pm. BBQ and drinks. Then played games, twisters, taboo, and other drinking games.
Was fun.... Then we danced!!!!!!!! and drink!!! and drinking.... and then still drinking~~~.
But the time we stopped it was already 11 p.m. Crazy day!
It's the 1st time I party for about 10 hrs!!! YEAH~!

Almost last for the practical. Good thing my friend is a VERY GOOD DRIVER!!!!! Managed to reached Gatton within 45 min... 150kph the max!!! TOTAL BURNOUT!!!! WOW!!!
This is the most hand-on practical. Had to wrestle with the sheep and had to palpate the testies of the ram! HUGE BALLS!!!! Ended the practical by playing with the kids... Very cute!

Hi peeps... It's been a while since I do this...
I really enjoyed the time with you all when I went back to Singapore. We got to do it sometime when I'm back in Dec.

So I got a job as a shampoo boy for the doggies in a grooming center. Been working there every Saturday. Pay isn't that much, but it is enough for me to last for a couple of week. ;)

09/08/2008 - Soiree
It's a big event in International House (IH), where we display the different culture around the world. AS IN FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! Yum yum...
I didn't help out in the different stall cause I got to work on that day, but I managed to come back in time before the whole event ended. Watched some stupid show that the residents here put up.

10/08/2008 - EKKA (Exhibition Day)
It a big carnival in Brisbane, last for a week, we even got a day off for that. Went to EKKA with my friends from IH.

My first animal handling practical. We got to drive to another campus which is more inland. Took us about 1hr30min to reach there.. Cant believe I got to stay there from 3rd yr onward... SUCK!

Went to buy groceries in the morning and prepared to have a cook up night. Having a malay night. So cooked beef redang, nasi lemak and sambal vege.. Yummy!!!!

22/08/2008 - Piggery
Went to the piggery for our 2nd practical. Was fun but I was very tired after that and fall sick the next day... Saw piglets being borne and fed them colostrum to boost their health. Trimmed the teeth and dock the tail of the piglets. Pretty cool. Got so stinky at the end of the practical!

31/08/2008 - Horse Riding Session
I promised myself that I will learn how to ride a horse during my vet school life. So i went to a day course about riding. Hopped on the horse when we reached and then went for an hr trekking on the horse.. Fun but with a price to pay, butt hurts so badly now!!!!

Oh well.. I think I got to stop here.. Been stressing a lot from the school work... Getting white hairs now... OMG!!! :(

Hi Dearies,

Good news, I've registered a company. Based on my mood now, I want to share one of my pre-launch piece that I've created a while ago. It's dedicated to all souls.

"Conform"

Inspired by Sakamoto Ryuichi's theme song "Forbidden Colours".

Composed for Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence, a 1983 film directed by Nagisa Oshima.

It portrays the main elements of communication between cultures and homosexuality during WWII. Revolving around the main characters, Jack; a rebellious prisoner, young Captain Yonoi, Sergeant Hara and John Lawrence, a British Officer who speaks fluent Japanese.

Creators thoughts:

Why are we following society blindly?

Why are we so quick to judge others?

Why are we so unaccepting of differences?

Ain't we forced to be what others want to see?

Ain't we wearing masks?

Masks that most of us have gotten used to... We are then only fooling ourselves.

02/05/08 - BANDit FEST

A festival where all the colleges in the campus come together and compete to see who the best band in the block! It was held in my college. So my friends and I decided to help out, in charged of the entrance and food. And I was the security guard for 1 hr.
My college came in 3rd.

Took 1 hr plus on the bus and the train to reach the beach in Gold Coast. Man, it was so windy! Sand all over the picnic cloth... (i.e. my friend's blanket from the room!) and on the food! Was fun. Only spent about 20 min in the water, rest of the time picture taking! What's new?

Every year Brisbane celebrate the Buddha Festival at the South Bank near Brisbane City. Went there to see the firework.

Had a field trip with the class. Went to walk about creek, a small natural reserve area. Their exhibited those rescued animals that are too weak to release back to the wild.

My friend came to Brissy to visit me for 10 days. Took a break from all the studying! Went to Gold Coast on the 1st day and stayed over till Monday. Was too late to go any of the theme park so went to The Spit . Took some pictures before heading back to the hotel. Get dark around 5.30p.m.SEAWORLD

09/04/08 - CAPTAIN PLANET HE'S THE ZERO!

Had a pub crawl in the beginning of the month. Was Captain Planet as the Theme. Different years have to dress up in different elements... Not sure you all know the cartoon, but was one of my favourite... EARTH, FIRE, WIND, WATER, HEART..

11/04/08 - DRUNKARD HONG

Supposed to stay at the college(hostel) to study. But I ended up hanging out with my tower mates and started drinking... PHEW... Drunk so much that day... WAS SO FREAKING DRUNK!!!! Had almost 1 litre of alcohol... Bailey, goons (crappy box wine is Aus), Cruisier and vodka caramel... :(

Suprisingly, I did not have any hang over the next day..

17/04/08 - ANGRY MAN FOUND IN DINING HALL

Had a small arguement in the dining hall. Cos one of the girl from other table threw, grapes at my friend and hit her face. Then she pretended that she didnt do anything. After a few minutes, she threw CABBAGE + CHEESE on another guy at the other table. He was pissed and went to ask who did that. No one admitted so I went to told him that it was the girl who did it.. Then they started talking out! WHOOWOOO.. She didnt admit so she came to me and ask why i accused her! So, I told her off, "I saw you throwing the cabbage at him with my own eyes, so dun denied about that.. Btw, you threw the grapes at my friend and that wasnt the 1st time." She had nothing to say and left! yeah!!!

Hahaa... After that incident, we are talking to each other. We wasnt even friend b4! STRANGE!!!

Last day of my mid sem exam... Went to the city and bought painting materials... Started drawind and painting this...

24/04/08 - HORNY PINE SANCTUARY

Long weekend... Skipped 2 hrs of lesson and had a 4 days off!! YEAH.. Went to Lone Pine Sanctuary with my ex-colleague who just moved here from Singapore....

25/04/08 - ANZAC Parade and French style Wine and Cheese

Went to the city in the morning around 10 am.. Stood there for 2 hr for the parade to finish. Was interesting in the beginning then it started to be boring after 30min as things are repeating itself...

After the parade, came back to the uni and met up my friends for some Wine and cheese in the centre of the Campus! Pretty nice and relax! Yumm... SAY CHHEEEEESSSSEEEEEE.... MUCKS!!!

Greetings! Hong, miss you so much over the weekends actually but I'm glad you are having a good time there.

Well I have some important things to announce. Apologies for postponing our next outing so many times cos we have to cater to everybody's availability and Kamini is still having her exams currently. All the best and focus k babe.

As (self declared) Head of Events and all-things-that-people-don't-bother-about, I shall deem next outing to be on 10 May 2008, Saturday. Why not next week? Cos Mun is going to Malaysia.

HI ALL MY DARLINGS!!!!

I'm taking a long break now from my studies... Having an exam tomorrow... but then my brain is saturated so i cant study anymore... (but im scare cos i keep thinking i will miss out something)...
My results are back for the 2 exam i took.. Results were good.. BUT there were like lots of other ppl with the same marks or higher! SHIT!!! All i can say is VET SCIENCE is so freaking competitive!!!!!
Hey Raj... I decided not to join the cheer team anymore. Cos i think i need to concentrate for my studies here... But once a cheerleader alway will be a cheerleader and im PROUD of it! So I have done what I need to do... The most when I go back to Singapore I will set up a team! haha... Let hope!
I will be back in Singapore in the 1st week of July till 18th July... So pls remember to keep urself free then!!!!! I wanna meet up with you ppl!!!!!!

Gd morning peeps!

I just wanted to update you guys on my life..I will be ending my teaching practicum in 3 weeks. And will be posted to my PERMANENT sch by end of May.

How fast is that!!? Im seriously freaking out la..5 years in the same school..and known as a permanent teacher. I cant seem to be able to believe it..years are passing too fast.

Anyway, due to that, I would love to meet up with you guys reallie soon..before i am thrown into the waters..and after that, meeting up is gonna be difficult. (i am assuming teaching life consumes a person.) Jing, plan a meet up soon? pls!

I had a camp about 2 weeks ago. We had to stayed overnight at the farm and party.

We meet up in front of the school. 5 vechicles in total driving toward the farm.

Ppl bring their dogs to the farm as well, so was playing with the doggies

(Well is shuhong on the leash or the dog??)

Very nice area, nice day as well.

Nice lake.... This was where the activities start.

This was during the lunch time. Queuing up to get my lunch!

Served by speedo guys! Hahaha

But when I got to the front of the line, the year 5 ppl gathering the year 1 for mass massacre.

They make us run through them, year 2 - 5, and started throwing things at us. (eggs, flour, n SHIT!!!)

Was so dirty n smelly after that so went into the lake to wash up. BUT!!! I'm not a good swimmer so I didnt go far. They jumped in and dragged me out of the lake and threw me into a molesses pit...

This is the molasses pit... GROSS!!!

This is the end product of me being thrown into the pit.

Molesses - a sugar by product that they feed the horses. Sticky and thick!!!!

After I got thrown in I got angry and started throwing ppl in as well.

After the molesses pit, we tried throwing ppl into the mud.

Was really quite gross but was fun. Started throwing mud to each other and ended up very dirty!

They started playing against the year, by sending 3 gals and 1 guy. Gals have balloon on them and guy has bull p*nis hanging on them.

They are supposed to pop the balloons on the gals.

My friend a brave man, voluteered to be the iron man. He had to race with a bull testicle in his mouth and carries bull intestine....

I sprayed my hair green for $5. It was a leukemia project, where ppl voluteered to shave their hair. 1 lady + 2 guys shaved on the spot.

We cleaned up ourselves in the lake.

Those ppl are mad... They used the left over cow dung and start throwing at each other. After that they started throwing at the crowd! I RAN!!!! AS FAST AS POSSIBLE...

I was safe!

1st year - French maid

2nd year - HOT nurse

3rd year- 1 Hawaii girl and a girl (real)

4rd year - 2 farm girls!

So glad to see Shu Hong having a blast at his new home. Cheerobics is coming up and I just heard about all the injuries. Seniors, pls take care of the juniors. dont want any mishap to happen. Pei Ming take care of your arm and don push urself.

Me on the other hand is now teaching at Nanyang Girls High. Will be here till the 9th of May. hmmm..Yes, I am suppose to be busy busy, but not yet. I come in at 7 plus and can leave by 2.30. but thats when i dont have anything to do. today is camp day. and im BORED> i have nothing to do and cant leave till 6, eventho i am not needed. its atrocious. my observations will only start in term 2.

So sorry that i took so long update the blog.. Was busy, setting down, getting ready.. party... clubbing... haha.. ppl here hell love to party n drink. 1st week of orientation, I went to 2 parties n 2 clubbing events, one of it is a pub crawl, which we go to 3 clubs in 1 night...

of course we all still able to feel worried with the alcohol in our system. but not for long she was safe home, and so the rest of us.
